This class warrants a bit of an explanation. Over the last few decades, there has been a dramatic shift in the way people think about and talk about knowledge and truth. Many of the hot-button topics in the "culture wars" (transgender ideology, Critical Race Theory, etc.) come from one strain of academic and philosophical thought, Postmodernism. In this class, we will trace the arc of Postmodern thought through to the current incarnation (Critical Theory), and explore how this came to be the dominant mode of thought. Most importantly, we will consider:

• What does the Bible have to say about the truth claims of Postmodernism and Critical Theory?
• How can we thoughtfully and intentionally engage with a society that believes these truth claims?
• How can we prepare our children to defend a Biblical worldview in such a society?
• What does our current cultural moment have to teach us about hypocrisy in our churches?

I hope that this will be a helpful class for our families and our parenting, as well as helping us figure out how to engage in an apologetic that speaks to the world we live in, rather than the world as we wish it was.
